Link
Engineering Inc. (DBA Link Cycles) has been in business since 1997.
Owned and operated by Mark Masa (AMCA# 7685), its primary focus
is on the manufacturer of high quality parts for early Harley-Davidson
Twins. Links primary emphasis is on the three speed F-Head pocket
valves made from 1915 thru 1929 and generically referred to as the
J or JD model.
The business sprang out of a need for certain parts that either
weren't currently being produced or where the quality of the current
reproduction simply wasn't there. Working as a tooling engineer
for an industrial distributor, Mark developed a resource base of
local manufacturers. Initially, most of the production steps were
outsourced to these shops. With the acquisition of a CNC Lathe in
2001 and then a CNC Vertical Machining Center a few years later,
production and quality control have been brought in house. We currently
outsource only the specialty work of cutting gear and sprocket teeth,
casting / pattern making, and of course all heat treating work.
We're continually adding new products and welcome any suggestions
on what you feel the market needs. We're more than willing to make
a single piece, so don't hesitate to call and discuss your needs.
